Project background : This house was design to be the second home or so call vacation house for the wellness party-goers and nearly retirement steward. From the urban life style concept, the program is to provide two stories house with 3 huge bedrooms with many multi-purpose areas that can convert to a party space such as connected living dining kitchen, open to sky roof top, living terrace, 25 meters swimming pool deck, outdoor pavilion or even barbecue courtyard in landscape area.

Concept :  Architecture pavilion floating on strong axis was firstly inspired from the Baray, an artificial body of water which is a common element of the architectural style of the Khmer Empire of Southeast Asia. The house was design to place in the middle of the plot to allow future expansion at the front or left and right side of the house that can be guesthouse or join together with family villa. The house was intended to break the Architecture text book rule by turning the full height glass to the West. Trying to compromise the heat of the sun with tropical elements by gaining the unexpected natural mountain surrounded panoramic views. The two master bedrooms, Living dinning, Bathroom and almost all function are always having scenes of the large opening scenic view. Key main Idea is to carefully blending natural aesthetic, tropical living spaces as well as minimal modern together. Steel frame is design to be mainly structure because it’s durable but slim, simple and can serve both structure and aesthetic form. With very thin 6 meters overhang roof slab structure challenging architect and engineer designer to reflex modern simplicity form. To maximize between human and natural boundary, full height glass opening are provide to expand natural to get inside the living space. Multi-purpose areas are as important as main function in this house. This area between inside and outside are most lively and can enjoy lots of party or others activity with friend or close family along the pool. Timbers are chosen to be the main element of interior and exterior to create warm and welcome feeling to the guest.
